August 21, 2022 - This was a fun, very interesting wine. Served slightly chilled, there were earthy cherry and raspberry flavours and a slight herbal note on the light to medium bodied palate. Healthy acids gave this a real lift, and slight tannins gave it some gravitas. A well crafted wine that is fun though serious too. Drinking very well now (A-).

July 20, 2021 - Enjoyable #cinsault from start to finish. Similar to a silky Pinot Noir in both aromas and flavors. Juicy red fruits and soft tannins with a silky mouthfeel.

December 6, 2020 - Light red color; 1st nose, pepper and red wild fruits. 2nd nose, cranberry and barberries. On the palate, medium body, soft tannins and long finish.

May 29, 2020 - What a tasty change of pace! Not a grape I normally go to, but with its knack for growing well under drought conditions, with climate change – we just might see a comeback!

Checks all the boxes of good Cinsault - cherries, red plums, slightly dusty (in a pleasant way), violets & spice bark.

The flavor profile is quite bright, with terrific acidity keeping tings lifted. Crunchy raspberry, rhubarb, forest floor, & black tea.

    A perfect summer red! 😊

January 6, 2020 - Bought on the somm's recommendation for CAD $59 to accompany mixed tapas with considerable seafood content; best Searcher USD price is $17 so it seemed fair enough, given the alternatives. Pale ruby; spicy nose, bright red fruit, some cinnamon; subtle fruit, good mouthfeel, a good pairing and some education for us on a So African version of one FR varietal behind pinotage (PN's the other). Good under the Cdn restaurant circumstances, not for the home collection. My evaluation: For me, scores on a "100-point scale" are misleading. I use a 4-category scale (perhaps with +/-)--not including flawed--which runs outstanding/notable/drinkable/poor. This is notable when considering quality, age, and Canadian restaurant price.
