February 7, 2019 - Drank a bottle over the course of an hour and a half. Was a little closed when first uncorked, but opened up nicely after 30 minutes or so.
On the nose, it displays notes of cherry, plum, green pepper and red wine gums.
Shows the typical cab notes, lots of green pepper, tabacco, and spice. Also shows shuttle notes of red fruit, black olives, and leather.
Has a medium long finish and is well balanced. Not an overly complex wine that you could sit and pontificate over, but it a great mix week easy drinking bottle -

Easy to drink, bright red, a few people including myself correctly called this as the $10 ringer in the tasting. Pass -

October 30, 2018 - Nose: Sour cranberries and/or cherries, some deep cream or it might be vanilla. It also smells slightly candied.
Palate: Same sour cranberries and cherries, some oak, a slight spice and some heat.
Dark, garnet colored yet still clear and translucent. Dry but with a noticeable amount of residual sugar.. not enough to call it off-dry though. Light tannins. Short finish of about 3 seconds.. with a longer lingering oak finish and a slight minerality. Very approachable and simple, not to say that it's bad but rather just missing some complexity.
