December 1, 2023 - When I think of Jura wine I mostly think of white wine from Chardonnay, Savagnin or assemblages of both. The red wines from local grapes as Poulsard or Trousseau have seldom appealed to me, but this one is clearly an exception to the rule. It has a very pale tawny red color like a somewhat darker rosé that is way past its prime but is very pleasant on the nose and the palate with red berries, raspberries and sour cherries, a decent refeshing finish with sufficient tannins for extra structure. A very pleasant surprise and it is ready to drink.
Stéphane Tissot is clearly one of the most competent wine makers in the region. Unfortunately prices for recent vintages have skyrocketed.

January 17, 2023 - Delicious, light, smudgy juice bomb of a wine.

January 26, 2022 - Light red, slightly browish
Red raspberry, red fruit and a bit tomato in nose
Juicy, good acidity and very low tannin, a bit fizzy

June 3, 2021 - Can trousseau be any better than this? Tart and vibrant strawberry and sour cherry with a slightly tannic undercurrent and a good whiff of barnyard. The counterpoint between the exuberant fruit and the funky and savory elements here is just plain magic.
