June 25, 2022 - Showing development in its appearance and on the nose, but I find the palate still reasonably youthful. The wine is a little flat and lacking energy owing to the vintage, and the midpalate feels watery. There’s a slight fishiness that comes and goes on the finish I’m not crazy about. But there's also a some nice umami richness that I enjoy.
I like this even more on day 2 with its pleasingly mature personality, although the bubbles are nearly gone.
This was a very good but not great bottle that was marked by the vintage. It's perhaps not a great value at today’s market price for older Agrapart. -
