Community Tasting Notes 9

April 7, 2024 - Open for two days. Relentless palate drying and somewhat fatigue inducing tannins. A bit harsh upfront which mask the dark bramble fruit. Good acidity at 9 years in. Maybe this becomes something in time but it’s hard to say with my limited experience following a wine like this.

92 with potential upside if the tannins soften.

January 18, 2023 - Yes, there are some tannins, but not overwhelmingly so…and I’m pretty sensitive to that. As to the rest of its attributes, it’s amazing! Rich, layered, well-balanced. Yeah, it will get better over the next couple of years; that’s a plus.

October 14, 2022 - Still very big, very young. Needs a long decant, unless your guests find it and then you're screwed. Good stuff though!

November 12, 2021 - Let me just echo MJP in the note prior to this. Tannins are substantial. Both nights one and two, however, a pour left for night three revealed a substantial muting of tannin but the fruit felt a bit tired. One needs to wait on this.

July 10, 2021 - Corvin pull earlier in the week was very closed off by a wall of tannins.

At the end of the week decided to pull the cork and splash decant into a Riedel Magnum decanter. Improvement with ox but the tannins really throw a road block on the dark red/blue fruits. Tobacco/Spice

Two more of these in the cellar and I don't think I'll touch them till 2025. 91+
