  December 22, 2009 - Relatively light brickish color with medium intense nose of heat, cherries and leather. Light mouth feel with velvet tannins and mild fruit. Not a whole lot of complexity or depth, but great balance with what it did have - nothing overpowering, a nice sit and sip drink. Food would overpower this bottle. Finish lacked depth and was abrupt. Overall a nice QPR - would buy it again.

  December 18, 2009 - Nose of bourbon. Real thin wine with some rustic character. Some red fruit and tobacco. It had some firm tannins but on day 2 the wine completely fell apart. 1/2 bottle down the drain.

  June 28, 2008 - Nice and fruity. Got this at a Reno wine store for a ski trip, and never drank it. Nothing special, but good for a cheap Barbera. Better on day 2.

  January 12, 2008 - Nose had a strong alcohol taint (almost smelled like a Tawny Port) to it, initially the wine did as well but that changed after letting it get some air. Not a bad choice for the price. Mild tannins and decent palate.

  May 17, 2007 - The cork is artificial and in good condition. The colour is relatively dark. The aroma is not strong. The flavour is good though. Well balanced -- not too tannic. But not too much fruit. Reasonable value for under $10. Good.
