November 14, 2021 - Light and clean with good typicity. Notes of plums and peppery charcuterie. Medium bodied and full of flavour but if being critical this lacks a bit of focus on the finish.

September 9, 2020 - Quite ripe for Chinon, this is nonetheless elegant and fresh. Sultry cherry and small wild blueberry notes are accompanied by flowers, cigar, espresso, roasted meat and roasted veggies. Medium to full, with zesty acidity and silky textured tannin. Tangy and tart on the finish, with beautiful crunchy fruit, plenty of minerality, and lingering notes of coffee and flowers. Excellent Cab Franc, this will be worth saving at least 10 years.

February 10, 2020 - This was a pleasant surprise. Quite classically styled Chinon. Pours youthfully dark in the glass with a touch of purple at the rim, opaque at the very core. The nose is lovely of black rasapberry, burlap, peanut shells, cedar, green bell pepper, crushed gravel, and cigar ash. The palate is well balanced with the dark sweet fruited entry and medium acid and medium tannin. Moderate finish replaying much of the nose. Quite nice.

September 5, 2019 - Dark ruby, semi-opaque. A: dark red fruit, smoke, dried tobacco. F: black cherry, earthy and slightly herbaceous, hits all the right notes for me with good concentration and smooth but noticeable tannin. Drinking better earlier than previous years.
