    November 5, 2020 - An 88 from WS, 91 from WE.

    $19 at TW

    14.2%

PnP. Medium bodied, smooth tannins, balanced. A little spice before a medium finish. Not going to blow your mind but a comfortable, enjoyable PN.

November 2, 2019 - Sat, 11/2/19, $2 Tasting (Vintage Wines Ltd., San Diego, CA): "A blend of Pommard & Dijon clones from carefully selected vyds within the region. All grapes are hand-picked at night & early mornings to keep the frt @ optimal temps. The frt is then de-stemmed into bins & placed into open top fermenters. The frt is cold-soaked for 3 days prior to initiating fermentation. Once fermentation begins, each tank is punched down 2-3x/day to maintain consistent contact between the must & pomace throughout fermentation. Once the wine is fermented dry it is racked to barrels for completion of malolactic fermentation. The wine is aged 10 mos in 100% French oak (20% new). 14.2% ABV, 0.59 g/L T.A., & 3.70 pH;"

N: SMOKE with some funk which (PRETTY much) blows off to RIPE, dk berries, poss plums

P: Med, poss MF, body; RNDISH entry with NICE, ALMOST swtish frt (approaching threshold R.S.?) met by an astringent pucker which stays within hailing distance of the init frt as it fairly seamlessly morphs it's way into a LONG, balanced finish with a BITTER/SWTNESS (40:60) & POSS hints of raisins to the few, innocuous, yet firming, dusty tannins. For now with food, MIGHT improve for 6 mos or so, then drink through '22? While not MY fav "style" of P.N. (I might describe it as a Pinot for C.S. aficionados), it clearly of VG+ quality, & I'd listen to EXC- based upon the QPR of this vendor's $13.95, which puts it @ the TOP of wine-searcher's current postings. 91 pts WE (8/1/19) @ $22, and the ff '19 Contest results: Gold @ S.D. Int'l, Silvers @ Sunset Int'l & Int'l Womens, and Bronze @ CA State Fair!

September 9, 2019 - Strong veg-rot, stalky nose reveals some decent fruit with air but remains crude, harsh, unpleasant on palate. Worst PN I can remember tasting

February 28, 2019 - Light red color, red Berry and herbal nose, Cherry and spice taste with good body and lingering finish, great Pinot for this price range recommended
