March 1, 2020 - A clean nose is followed initially by red cherry notes and good structure on the attack. Over time, the cherry went darker on the palate and added some tobacco and spice notes to the ample acidity. The finish was short but pleasant enough. Certainly drinkable with a decant of an hour or so, but also a bit linear. Glad I got in at $59... not worth more.

March 30, 2019 - I believe the decanting (>3 hours) really made this wine. Hints of Napa berry fruit on the nose but somewhat restrained. Dark red and almost reminiscent of Carmenere and an extracted Shiraz.
Fruity on the mid palate but fruit removes itself in the finish. A little steely and Mountain like (eg Veeder) so I was not able o place this until the unveiling.
Overall beautifully integrated and smooth (as noted, this may have been the decanting)

January 10, 2019 - Purple to the rim. Not much nose. Huge up front fruit. Lots of tannin. 20 second finish. Second day open. Would expect the rating to improve over time. Waiting at least two years before I try it again.
