May 29, 2023 - Brought it up to steamboat and had it during dinner.
Oak has done a great job integrating over time. Flavors were darker than what you would expect from a california pinot and included a bit of earthiness. The acidity was a bit low and alcohol was a bit noticeable (relative to Burgundian).
I enjoyed this much more than the last but won’t be seeking out more. -

August 1, 2022 - Strong rounded out roses on the palette. Almost far along to make lychee. Spice on the nose, very pleasant. Some geomycin on the nose.
Probably the best Bernardus bottle I’ve encountered. -

Regrettably yes.
The nose is fairly pleasant. The palate is thin, with little going on. There is some dark fruit and cola. The finish doesn't exist at all.
Thankfully, my wife didn't complain about it. -
