December 18, 2022 - Bouchard seem to be going from strength to strength with their renewed focus on domaine wines rather than négoce bottlings and this rather under the radar monopole terroir is always a good value in their range. Offering a lovely bouquet of orchard fruit, lemon curd, white flowers, orange peel and vanilla pod. The palate is nicely textured and fleshy with plenty of ripe fruit concentration, baking spice and a touch of minerality it finishes crisp and racy. Beautifully balanced throughout this is very much approachable now but will develop for a number of years. Very good.

June 26, 2022 - Musique & Vin Pre-Concert Dégustation (Château du Clos de Vougeot): Walk around tasting. Slightly floral with some peach and ripe apple, but ending with bright acidity. As almost always, a hidden gem and bargain 1er.

June 11, 2022 - Lemon custard, smoke, and mineral bouquet. Medium-bodied, good fruit, and somewhat closed white Burgundy with excellent potential. Nice acid for balance. Needs 2 more years of age.

June 7, 2022 - not as good as the 2019 I had recently... this was a little too round for me with something (oak??) that was a tiny bit off putting -- at least for me and my wife, who love them high / tight / bright / bright / acidic / citrus / etc... NR for now, have 5 more

December 17, 2021 - Richly beautiful and wonderful stuff. Baby fat. And dry extract.
