December 11, 2023 - Good value. Didn’t really budge over 3 hours. Good by itself and with white bean soup

June 23, 2023 - Still austere and tight. The compact, hard frame brought a lot of gravel and tannins on the finish. This is difficult to assess at this stage so drink 2026-2036. Technical score: 90. Enjoyment score: 90.

February 16, 2021 - Loire dinner. Lovely CabFranc aromatics with stemmy and red fruit notes, earthy elements as well. This was really sour on the palate and did not find many friends at the table. 88-89

December 7, 2020 - Delicious. Classic Loire Cab Franc, the bright red and medium red fruit bursting out from a veil of dusty mineral. Beautiful.

Great presence: "I'm here, drink me." And, I did.

    Rated +1 on a scale of -1 to +3.

February 2, 2020 - I tend to agree somewhat with what Maxima wrote before that this does not have all the intensity to match the rather high price for Loire reds.

But on the contrary, I felt it was rather silky and with no really green cab franc notes - and has some of the tell tale loire juicy grippy acidic cab franc finish. This is all on the positive side.

Maybe with time the mid palate will fill out. Drinking well with food now but not a great wine, yet at least.
