April 30, 2015 - A dark Big Cab with a even Bigger nose!! Good structure and complexity, but a bit of a disapointment on the texture and finish. For this price it should have it all.

May 31, 2010 - Magnum. a big, brash wine. tannins were pretty strong at the start, but mellowed throughout the evening. to the eye: Deep, dark purple in color. To the nose: black cherry, some vanilla, and balanced spice. when compared to the 95 Penfolds Grange shiraz we enjoyed before, it compared like a young brash talented athlete compares to a seasoned legend. Our Vine Cliff was full-bodied, with a velvet texture, big concentration of black current fruit, and subtle tannin. i think it was still too early for this wine, yet shows strong potential, like that young athlete.

May 16, 2010 - lots structure and tannin, strong on oak and a bit low on fruit but it brings a solid finish and nice velvet feel in the mouth

July 1, 2009 - Huge wine, big tannins, some heat. Probably still too young though I'm not sure it's going to age as gracefully as I hoped.

February 28, 2009 - Smooth, fruit forward with good balance
