September 7, 2020 - Deep ruby colour, very alluring. Nose traditional. Truth be told, this would have me fooled for a Shiraz in a blind tasting. Big profile, berries, toast, fruit and oak. Eased up over time, developing that Cabernet graphite note but still too much alcohol for my liking. Perhaps a few more years in the bottle would ease this up? Probably just made in that big and brash style. Nevertheless, an enjoyable food wine.
