Community Tasting Notes 12

April 29, 2024 - Sour, lip smacking candied cherries with rosehip syrup (but without the overt sweetness) and slightly herbal and fragrant furniture polish finish. Medium body, medium high acidity, tannins that are behaving.

Very much in keeping with the house style, and for me a nod to the more traditional approach. As far as I’m concerned it’s how Nebbiolo should taste, and will comfortably sit in your cellar for a decade or more.

February 2, 2024 - Shockingly open and accessible for just 7 years young. Delicious. Stuffing to go for years.

August 6, 2022 - med/pale garnet with orange notes. Restricted aromas of tea and woodiness. very smooth on palate. Soft, black fruits encased in tertiary woodland flavours. high level of tannins remain. Acidity has resolved to maintain freshness but no intrusion. Long finish but loses fruit and tannins and wood dominate.

April 13, 2022 - Crisp and bright, with firm but accessible tannins, lollipop / bubblegum aromas, nice hint of smoke, floral finish. Very refreshing with rich barbecued meats. At restaurant Pendergast, Amsterdam, NL.

June 30, 2021 - Approachable but will improve I’m sure. Translucent cherry red, it shows roses, cola, damp earth, white pepper. Tannins are supple. Takes a while to open up but when it does it’s delicious.
