May 31, 2023 - Tasted this at the Penfolds Wine Dinner hosted by The Famous Kitchen.
Juicy, savoury, with notes of wild mushrooms. On the palate the wine is smooth and rounded, and an amazing finish.
The freshness of this wines adds to its enjoyment too. -

November 12, 2022 - Medium garnet with light tawny rim
Nose of dried fruit, raisin, sultana. Most of primary fruit has gone. Oak spice, vanilla.
Dry, medium+ acidity, soft medium well integrated tannins.
Flavours of dried black fruit, soft stewed plum, leather, chocolate
Great balance, ok length, good intensity and good complexity.
A lot softer than traditional Italian sangiovese style. Some notes reminded me of tawny port (no sweetness though)
