  November 25, 2010 - Pretty nose of dark fruit, roses.
  On the palate is good dark fruit, black cherry, a note of cola and good acidity and tannins. There is a little heat on this (not surprising at 14.3% alcohol). This will last but it is good now. This is good enough to stand up to steak. It will be interesting to see how it evolves with ageing.

  December 10, 2009 - Dark purple in color. smoke and dark berries on the nose. fairly acidic, but otherwise great taste - and a nice, lasting finish. even better with some food to balance the acidity

Short of a thick texture on the palate as this is not quite deumure, but pretty assertive after a bright entry and showing a firm fruit grip thru mid palate that did have a few interesting personality notes, but was definetly firm and forward with a medium acidic balance and a light tannic framework on the finish. Interesting and forward wine that really does need food to bring out the different aspects here...that can be hidden by its assertiveness.

  October 9, 2007 - very delicious with big red fruits mostly cherry. a little high on the acidity, but a solid backbone. nice wine.
