March 26, 2021 - Crimson red, with auburn edges. The nose has a great funk of forest floor and wet earth a hint of sandalwood. For $30, this wine has held up extremely well. I wish I had bought a case. It’s not life changing, but it’s well overachieved my expectations.

Red berries dominate the first sip, followed by ripe strawberries and candied plums. The tannin linger on the back end would allow this to be cellared for another five years, but alas we spent both bottles tonight.

December 27, 2016 - Translucent garnet colour. Nose of predominantly red fruit, redcurrant and raspeberries, without the classic Burgundy pinot "farmyard whiff". A lively, fruity, medium-bodied palate, tannins well-integrated, and a medium length finish. Nice juice considering the price.

December 11, 2014 - A silky, classic burgundy. Red cherry notes on the palate. Great value. Ready now but full of fresh fruit for a few more years.

May 3, 2014 - This wine evolved in the right direction. At first the nose was a little strange. Chemically but that went away quickly and the wine showed wonderfully. Slightly rustic although primarily red fruits with a little age. At $22, this shows why Burgundy is still the best place to get affordable pinot noir.

March 26, 2014 - Bought a case in 2007 at just under $25/btl. It took years for this to come around and lose its tart cranberry aspect, but lose it it has, and the last couple of bottles have been splendid iterations of Cotes de Nuits Villages-level Burgundy. Earlier bottles were on thin side: the weight this has put on on the past couple of years has added interest and complexity. One more bottle left, and I will be sorry to see the last of these.
