January 28, 2023 - This was good. With some fruit and firm tannins. Could even stay in bottle longer. Not sure if it was worth $34, which seems to be a higher price than others have paid.

October 24, 2021 - Third tasting note. Baked pie crust aroma remains intriguing. Prior notes on target, subtle acid balance make this balanced nicely spiced velvety slipper Rhone a 92 pointer. Wood seems much less worth a comment.

For current drinking, no better QPR. Jacques, wine merchant, keeps stock, I keep purchasing. I posted in another note: Rhone wine prices have not risen in 50 years by any inflation measure. God bless the Rhone winemakers.

July 23, 2021 - Really liked this wine with an aged steak.

May 3, 2021 - Feminine floral nose more prominent since last tasted. It is developing and has years to go. Sleek polished mouth feel is the main attraction, enticing ripe berry depth, spicy mild tannins and food matching acidity.

January 9, 2021 - Red purple red, interesting nose, baked dessert. "Polished" agree.
"Caramel" notes agree. Maybe "pepper, "or charred barrels, the wood is not a feature. I will add warmth, the comfort of Rhone, like a fuzzy blanket, always fuzzy and soft. Who does not appreciate their blankie or if you prefer blanky?

I rate their Cotes du Rhone higher, more complexity, finished more than polished, less oak.
The CNP a classic, once a generation wine.
