November 11, 2023 - This was tasting quite fine. Big bursts of ripe dark fruits to fresh red raspberries to red cherries and plum purée. Little bit of spices, chocolate, leather and spices. Smooth acidity with ripe long finish. Tasted better than last time.

September 30, 2023 - My father’s birthday and we decided to drink the 2019 vintage next to the 2016 vintage to see how they compare. Dark ruby fruit - blackberry, currants, and dark cherry. Smooth mid-palate with a nice purity and solid depth/concentration; however, it’s not showing the same depth/concentration as a couple years ago. Nice rich flavors of cassis, baking spices, cocoa, and a graphite component. Fairly long finish. Popped/poured but drank out of a decanter for a couple hours. Not much improvement with time but at a nice drinking point. 96 for the 2016 vintage and 94 for the 2019 vintage - although the 2019 vintage needs more time. Once again, no surprise of the 97+ rating from Dunnuck for the 2016. 100% cab.

December 8, 2022 - 3 hr decant. Magenta/ruby/purple. Dark fruit flavors sprinkled with black pepper. Spicy cedar. Savoriness, Tobacco, graphite, intermixed with cherries and berries. Medium to full bodied, complex flavors retaining liveliness, freshness and vibrancy. Hints of floral earthiness! TRB is the winemaker.

August 7, 2022 - 4 great wines with friends:
- 2019 Myridad Empyrean (97)
- 2016 Kinsella Heirloom (96)
- 2018 Kamen (95)
- 2018 Lewis (95)
I love everything about this wine. Right in my wheelhouse. Unfortunately my last of this vintage. Signature TRB style here.1 person found this helpful Comments (3) -

November 6, 2021 - Part of some belated birthday celebration with friends. Due to the number of wines drank, no formal tasting notes and did not leave notes for all of them.
Wines drank included
2018 Word Choice
2019 Yesterday Rutherford
2018 MFN Harvey & Harriet
2018 Outpost
2015 Rubicon
2016 Kinsella Heirloom
2016 Groth Reserve
2016 Vice Versa Le Petit Vice
2018 Carter Los Compadres
WOTN for everyone involved. Double decanted for 5 hours prior to dinner. Served blind alongside the Outpost, Groth, and Rubicon. Threw off a ton of sediment so I would recommend the decant/filtering.
Such a great, smooth wine. TRB magic in Sonoma. Even better than Jersey Boys.1 person found this helpful Comment
