February 24, 2021 - Dense purple color. Spicy aromas of dark fruits — blackberries, black currant, & figs. Black currants, spicy fig, and black pepper flavors. “Hot” from a definite tilt toward alcohol in the balance, but structured tannins make it suitable as an accompaniment to fried or otherwise heavily seasoned meat or chicken. At a $9.99 price point at Trader Joe’s, one could do far worse than this wine.

January 15, 2021 - Don’t let the weird nonstandard bottle deceive you. This is actually pretty decent wine. A nice blend of rich fruit, fruit leather, lightly smoky, and a firm finish. QPR is spot on.
