April 24, 2023 - Hyde de Villaine (HdV) is an inspired venture between two families, Burgundian de Villaine family (owners of DRC) and the Hyde family of Carneros region. A blend of 53% Merlot and 47% CS, aged for 22 months in FR oak, 30% new, bottled unfined and unfiltered. Medium+ intensity concentrated aroma of ripe sweetish fruits of blackberries, plums, cherries, smoke cassis, chocolate. Full body, concentrated fruitiness also on the palate, layered and broad structure, medium acidity, finely grained medium tannins.
