Community Tasting Notes 4

January 31, 2021 - This did not impress as much as prior vintages, no evident tropical fruit. It seemed edgy and the fruit was restrained and in the background. It had acidity but did not have the freshness of purity of fruit I have been accustomed to. It improved with time in the glass but never fully opened up or showed the charm I was looking for.

December 3, 2020 - This vintage definitely needs some additional time. This is currently dominated by citrus notes and is a bit edgy based upon the acidity. In past years this has presented more of a tropical profile and had a bit of stone fruit as well. At this juncture this is more citrus driven. Time will be friendly for this offering as I do think it will integrate and evolve nicely with some patience. I would definitely hold for now.

November 3, 2020 - Admittedly drank this early in the drinking window for this vintage. This was approachable yet I can see where additional time and patience will be rewarded. It presented much more of a citrus profile than the more tropical notes of prior vintages. Oak was present although not overbearing. Not overly acidic either, which allows for enjoyable early consumption. We will see how this on develops with additional time.

July 23, 2019 - Of Santa Barbara (Sta Rita Hills) origin. There were delicate flowers on the nose. The taste was more acidic and citrus than my experience of chardonnay, but very polished.
