April 6, 2024 - I was worried that this one may be nearing or past its prime but happy to say it was not. Wonderful stone fruit flavors of peach and apricot and brioche. Heavier mouthfeel and lovely finish. Paired well with Mahi Mahi and rice.

July 8, 2021 - Warm up wine for our great few days with Jen and Sasha. Enjoyed decanted for about 30 min at cellar temp of 57 deg as soon as we arrived from the airport. Enjoyed over the next 90 min with various munchies/charcuterie. Seemed sweeter than I remember with good viscosity, vanilla, a hint of lemon/pineapple and faint oak. Well made but not that much different from the regular VGS chard bottling. Not as unique and special as the '13 Fourmeaux chard was, but a great starter wine for Jen's little weekend trip! 92 bordering on a 93 for me, today.

January 30, 2021 - Nine months since my last bottle, cork saturated 3/4ths of the way up so maybe not much time left for this bottle. Had at dinner with Andrew and Kala over crab cakes and Grouper Rockefeller. Kala is NOT a white wine drinker, but she loved this one! Just a stunning white with everything in balance. The white flower nose and tropical fruit is impeccable, the oak reduced and integrated perfectly, the acidity exactly where it needs to be. A truly 'elegant' chardonnay.

April 19, 2020 - Wonderful chard to have with our version of the VGS crab boil.....Alaskan King crab, Maryland crab cakes, coconut shrimp, corn on the cob, etc........great, classy white! Honeysuckle, lemon, white flowers, perfect acidity throughout tastes and feels the same on the front end as it does on the back end. Wonderful!

April 11, 2019 - This Chardonnay deserves to be regarded alongside the heavy hitters of CA Chard.

An exhilarating bouquet welcomes you in with ripe stone fruit and confit lemon aromas. First sips ring bright and zesty, but the delicate oak application lends to a balanced texture and finish that carries on and on. While everyone at the table was pumped to have this open, this is the rare CA Chardonnay that should be laid down for some years to evolve in to it's best self - An unforgettable find.
