May 23, 2022 - Opened in the bottle all day. In more of a shut down mode compared to last year. Red fruited with a light to medium body. Needs time to fatten up.

August 18, 2021 - Only my third wine from Fratelli Brovia and my second time with the Brea Vigna Ca' mia, previously the 2013 vintage. This is obviosly a very good barolo and maybe age will add 1-2 points to this wine, but the 2013 was better.

February 27, 2021 - 1 hr of aeration; drank over two nights. Just as I found it at the Tre Bicchieri event in Dusseldorf, just prior to release - open, giving, and with tannins that are much more inviting than they are stand off-ish. Not likely to become the most complex of wines, but on a scale of pure pleasure, it's pretty high up there. Quite juicy, with rounded, layered layers of bright red fruits. I think its best days are on the younger side, and won't consider holding beyond 2035 - even if it may last - if only because it's so good now. highly recommended

August 28, 2020 - Consumed over the course of two days. More delicate and restrained than the Rocche di Castiglione. Still it’s just stunning stuff and up there with the best of the vintage (especially early drinkers). Strawberry, rose, bay leaf, mint and sour cherry. Needs time but more than drinkable after a long decant.
