April 27, 2020 - Light bodied with half decent fruit, but that damn artificial sweetener / aspartame taste that so many domestic Pinot Noirs have completely ruined it. This is the start of round 4 of the attempt to find an American PN that my wife and I can drink, and it's off to the same way the other trials did. :-(
After 3 days in the fridge, the aspartame note did subside a bit, and an herbal element came into play.1 person found this helpful Comment -

September 23, 2019 - Drank last of 3 bottles with a miso-sesame grilled salmon. Honestly can't remember the first two bottles. Anyway, I was after a bigger fruit forward Cali pinot to accompany the bolder, Asian-influenced dish. Was surprised by a pretty light body with a more faded brick and brown-edge color. More like an 8-yo Burgundy than a barely 3-yo Cali pinot. Anyway, nice nose, it was fruit forward and simple palate. But, totally enjoyable, just a bit unexpected. I'd buy another vintage, just because I'm intrigued by a central coast pinot like this. Very un-Willamette, un-Carneros, un-NZ.

August 22, 2019 - Ripe, pleasing, fruit-forward Cali Pinot. Does not taste manipulated with oak chips or mega-purple. A good alternative to Meiomi. Not my favorite style, but still pretty good and great to have for when non winos are visiting.

July 8, 2019 - There are not many sub-$15 California Pinots that are worth drinking, but this is one of them. Fruit forward with a little bitter note, but tastes of low-manipulation and is not oak-chipped to death. Tasted over 2 days - better on the second day.

April 22, 2019 - Lots of candied fruit. Simple, flavorful, and made in a crowd-pleasing style. Not exactly the style I look for in Pinot, but this is well-made and a much better option at a cheaper price point than other options (e.g. Meiomi).
