May 23, 2023 - Underwhelming when twist'n'poured but really opened up over the next 30mins. Apparently I should have reviewed my tasting note from the last bottle.

Ripe cherries, blackberry, chocolate and just subtle hints of mint and vanilla. The alcohol at 15% is a touch hot, but if you're drinking McLaren Vale Shiraz you can't complain too much about prominent alcohol 😄

December 30, 2022 - Rich chocolate and coffee notes with smooth silky tannins. Drinking very well. Developing in the glass.

December 22, 2022 - Great McLaren shiraz. Not getting any better, though, so drink it now.

December 16, 2022 - Better colour than the last bottle and a bit more fruit but still past its best.
Will see if it improves with time and can update the note if so, but expectations are low.

    ‐----------
Edit: improved significantly with air, more than I'd expect for a wine at 20 yrs. Plum and cherry fruit, some sweaty leather, vanilla.

Went from "I would not share this with friends" to "Enjoyable and good enough to share, especially as a bit of a novelty at 20 years." Score upgraded from 85 to 90.
