Community Tasting Notes 8

December 24, 2010 - No way I can rate this. Easily the worst pinot I've ever tasted, and I'm assuming it's a jacked bottle or it's past it's prime. I see no tasting notes for two years so it seems I'm the lone jackass who drank this past its time. Oddly efferverscent/funk/barnyard/dung. I don't think this was an off bottle. Just think it sucked. Like someone opened up the bottle and peed acid and re-corked. Curious if others think the same at this late stage.

January 5, 2008 - Great QPR. This is a well balanced Pinot with classic strawberry nose. A good amound of fruit up front and a clean finish that isn't overly dry or acid - there's a nice cola flavor to the finish that I really enjoyed.

November 2, 2007 - This wine is fantastic. It has big fruity aromas and a cherry finish. I look forward to drinking a lot more of this in the future.

September 1, 2007 - Recorded from some very early notes. Not sure I would still agree with these statements. Will re-rate when second bottle is opened.

A: Purple more Merlot than Pinot like
    N: Fruity loads of strawberry
T: Consistent with nose, floral and fruity
    F: Smooth velvet complex
Overall : Excellent wine, we enjoyed with steak. Lacked the effervescence we found in Cork Dancer but smooth and palatable
    Value: 4/5

July 12, 2007 - Tasted at a retail wine tasting. A very good pinot for the money. Terrific aromas of ripe strawberries, black cherries, earth, Asian plum sauce, and cranberries on the nose. The palate kind of falters with some simple black cherry and cola flavors, but the the acidity is incredible. A very good wine. 88-89 points.
