  December 16, 2020 - Having tried all three of the 2001 brut cuvee from Hagafen this time side by side this 2001 late disgorge showed by far the best. It had more bubbles more complexity more concentration and more youthfulness. And still lots of small bubbles and very smooth to drink. Explosive peach and apricot bouquet with nuts toast and almonds. Good concentrated flavors of peach, apricot, nuts, toast, almonds. there is a hint of oxidation but there is much more freshness to the fruit. A nice long fruity finish. Delicious, smooth, and a pleasure to drink. For those who don't like oxidation drink up soon. Otherwise I think this wine will be able to age a few more years easily. My recommendation is drink now. But it's not about to fall apart.

  October 25, 2020 - This is the first time I have tried this since tasting it upon its release. Nice copper gold color. Smokey yeasty toasty nutty dry peach bouquet. Lots of small smooth bubbles. On the palate, dry peach, citrus, apricot flavors. Small smooth bubbles. A hint of oxidation to add complexity. Absolutely delicious and smooth and drinking perfectly now. Enjoy now and over the next few years. As impressive as the extended disgorge version from this year and definitely a step above the regular cuvee.
