Community Tasting Notes 1

June 15, 2012 - Showing its age with a brown-orange tinge and some meaty-leathery-faecal aromas, but there's also some boiled blackcurrant sweets, wood mushrooms, an underlay of something herbal, and an interesting olive oil component. Still some muddy tannins on the palate, medium bodied, with a sweet fruit aspect and some pleasantly enlivening acidity, it finishes long, with a very pleasant musty sweetness. Over an evening, it held up very well, and even improved. Nice.
