  January 17, 2024 - This is my fourth wine from this winery. So far so good I liked them all. Let's see if this juice can be comparable to others.
  2 hours in the decanter.

  There is a fundamental difference here. Compared to the previous ones, this wine is delicate, refined, maybe too much.
  The smell is full of flowers, minerals, and mint ( so nice) aromas. Also red cherry, plum and forest.
  Light texture, but a lot of red fruits. Also - herbs and spices.
  Very juicy with grippy tannins and good acidity. Nice and "polite" Beaujolais
  Vintage 2017 got 94 points according to the WA Vintage.
  Outstanding. Early maturing and accessible

  September 23, 2020 - Popped and drank over the course of two hours.
  Clear, medium ruby in color. No visible sediment.
  Nose is of medium low intensity. Mostly floral and mineral. Violets come to mind. A bit weak.
  On the palate it is dry, medium acidity, tannins and imperceptible alcohol. A bit of blackberry and herbs come up.
  The finish is dry and short.
  Honestly, the wine is OK but not my favorite Morgon and much less Cote du Py. It lacks energy, vibrancy. It may be shutting down but I haven't had any Beaujolais shut down on me before and at the $30 price point, the basic Lapierre bottling runs circles around this.

  September 11, 2020 - We opened this bottle with some friends on 9/11 and finished the bottle on 9/13. I wish I had made my notes on the first evening as the wine presented much more character. Please take the current tasting notes with that in mind: the wine is dark red and beautifully opaque. It’s clean and clear. You get hints of mineral and floral. The wine is tight even after two days. In our initial tasting it was loaded with flavor and some great gravely soil. Two days in your still getting the structure of this wine which showcases dark fruits, some plum, and fig. On the first evening we paired it with stinky cheeses and some meats. It definitely was made for food while good on it’s own I believe the food brought out the best of this wine.
  
  Cellaring could help tame this a bit, but I wouldn’t forget about it. I think you will want to go back a couple of years to pull a bottle and watch it mature over time. I’m going to pick up some more to lay down

  April 25, 2020 - Fairly dark garnet, not quite opaque, intriguing nose of dark fruit with a unique dried herb/spice note; wonderful medium intensity dark berry fruit, lip smacking acidity, a slight high toned carbonic touch. Deliciously interesting and complex wine.

  January 17, 2020 - Fairly dark, lightly savory crushed dark fruit nose, lovely medium intense darker berry fruit, great acidity, has a unique savory/herb note I can't describe, but which lends interest and complexity, some lightly chalky tannins on the finish. Quite nice, and ageworthy.
  
  Next day: some of the savory notes are gone, but there is still plenty of quite intense dark fruit, almost brooding, slightly grippy tannins, lip smacking acidity, really delicious and built for the long haul. This is a darker, meatier, bolder style of Beaujolais, almost approaching a good medium bodied Syrah in style.
