Community Tasting Notes 6

December 31, 2023 - Sample tasting at work (Oinoscent): Vibrant, bright, citrus, lime, grapefruit, a touch flint, gorgeous
Palate is juicy, tensity, minerally driven, high but balanced acidity, line, stone fruit, apricot, med body, long (dare I say with mastic notes) finish
Outstanding quality with long life ahead

June 27, 2022 - Can’t really get the disappointment the other guys are talking about. May be not the greatest GG , but very good wine nonetheless with lots of citrus and stone fruits, hints of petrol and brioche and great balance. Yet another great Riesling.

July 17, 2021 - Not much to get excited about here, a rather muted nose little fruit, in the mouth all minerality and acid virtually no fruit getting through, maybe time will change this but no guarantee as with all wines, overall for a GG disappointed.

April 13, 2019 - From a parcel with more than 60 % slopes. Opened way too young but it still shows some character. It’s not driven by fruit, more by acidity and minerality. There are small hints of peach and grape but more obvious is the notes of lime, smoke, crushed rocks, slate - especially after some time in the glass. Not extremely aromatic, yet. With time, there are also notes of yellow flowers and some oiliness. I expect it to be better tonight.

December 13, 2018 - Yummi! A mouthwatering glass of wine that's near perfect! So many layers and I hardly know where to begin. A golden color tells me that we're dealing with a more heavy Riesling. The taste is very complex - first of all this wine has that fresh and zingy fruit with a tangy acidity and bone-crushing minerality. Sweet notes of ananas and mandarins help balance out the acidity and gives this wine more layers. And to top it all you can also clearly sense tobacco and gasoline - wow!!! Great glass of wine
