Citrus, orchard, slate, chalk, zing, long finish, tart acid. Everything I love in Vilmart.

January 30, 2024 - This rendition of Grand Cellier d'Or is really excellent. It has come together over time, but is really performing at a high level. There are notes of toasted almond, marzipan, and lemon confit. It has plenty of layered complexity and has aged quite well in bottle.

November 23, 2023 - 3rd bottle from 6 purchased, this is just simply amazing.
Enjoyed at Thanksgiving dinner, and afterwards while playing some board games with family.
Bright and incisive, with sharply delineated citrus flavors, green apple, saline, and kiwi.
The acidity is puckeringly sharp, not for everyone, but I love it. The finish is long and citrus-laden.

Not sure what I can say that Frank hasn't already said.....such a great bottle of Champagne! Opening bottle at Tiny Lou's in Atlanta with friends. -

September 29, 2023 - Lemony, Apple, acid. Minimal brioche. I would have liked more nuance and balance but it was good.
