October 17, 2023 - Dark bramble, coffee, violet and peppery aromas.

Very silky and elegant on the weighty palate. The tannins are very well integrated and the wine leaves you very satisfied after a medium-length salty finish.

April 4, 2023 - PnP, 14.5% alcohol, dark fruits dominate, tannins subdued, nice acidity, delightful, in it's prime.

    November 24, 2022 - I'd largely go along with PBMedder's notes.

A polished St Joseph with, initially, a milky smooth texture, and then ripe powdery tannin and wonderful fruit/savoury balance. Black cherry, vanilla, and the black pepper spicy finish helps camouflage the heat.

    £23.50 Wine Society UK. 89/90

September 11, 2022 - Nose: Chocolate. Strawberry. Liquorice. Dates. French vanilla. Medium plus intensity. Complex.

Palate: Coffee. Chocolate. Vanilla. Blueberry. Raspberry. Medium plus tannins. Medium olus acidity. Full body. Pronounced intensity. Medium plus finish.

Great wine, awesome value Northern Rhone. Drink now to 2027.

February 11, 2021 - Still bright ruby in the glass. Beautiful nose, black cherry, quite ripe with a hint of jam, though nothing overworked. Savoury too, with black olive tapenade and wet stones. Medium bodied with fine chalky tannins and good length. Just a touch warm at the finish (it is 14.5% abv). Black cherry, toast, stalky and grippy. Lovely wine. An elegant St Joseph with plenty of substance. Drinking well now, but it could happily hold for the next 2 years.
