Black-red-glass-staining colour.
Deep Syrah aromas with anise seeds and liquorice.
Before even sipping this, I was already in Australia :-)
On the palate, it beautifully plays the Oz Shiraz card/chord. This is a fantastic wine. Tonight's nerdy company couldn't agree more. An ultra-young, deep, rich Syrah with ample fruit (still after over five years of rest) manages to hold back the behemoth monster of a tannin wall that's hiding in plain sight...
Absolutely lovely!
Our only btl, we want to find more bottles over the years as this is (currently, at least) an affordable Hermitage of amazing quality. -
