February 5, 2023 - I found this a bit simple, but enjoyed the balance. A bit more streamlined than a Turley Zin. I am guessing these blends need more time to come together. They do with the Bedrocks that I have had and am now holding back while I drink the Zins.

September 25, 2021 - Facinating field blend of Petite Syrah, Zinfandel, Alicante (YES!), Carignane, Gamay, Negrette, Mourvedre, Refosco and even Chenin Blanc. Tasted blind in my home and I thought it was Mourvèdre based, because of the natural smoke and earthy forest floor notes to the dark red and purple fruits. For some reason I assume the Alicante, Carignane and Gamay add the smokey notes to the petite and zin... either way, its a fabulous drink right now and for a couple years. Smooth, graphic finish, great balance. I did not get the bright fruit others got, this bottle had more brooding in it.
