November 4, 2022 - Very well put together. Oak comes out on day 2 to an extent that I dislike, but there’s a steely and clean character to the wine as well. Giving entry-level WV eines a few years in bottle can work out pretty well. That said, I don’t see this improving. Drink now.

May 25, 2020 - Quarantine 2020: National Chardonnay Day (Blind); 5/21/2020-5/25/2020 (Los Gatos and San Carlos California): Tasted Blind:
This wine is beautifully clear and light yellow in the glass. I got some spritz, hints of dissolved CO2 upon pop and pour, but that blew off quickly. What's left behind is this beautiful "tropical reduction" as a fellow taster noted on day two. Strong notes of honey, roses, pear, melon and with that underlying reduction makes for a lovely nose. This wine was somewhat reticent on day one, and the nose opened up on day two, and what I thought was a simple wine on day one changed quite a bit on day two. The fruit dominates the palate with soft bracing acidity and not much noticeable oak. On day two, I got more barrel and complexity on the finish. Not just a pure fruit-driven wine, The minerality, and reduction create some tension to make it more appealing on day two. This wine is my 1st Crowley and will not be the last. Overall this wine was a bit simple on day one and blossomed on day two. Good QPR at ~$25
    12.5% ABV

October 19, 2019 - Pear, melon, toast, vanilla, spice. Fruit has a slight honeyed character to it. Rich and fairly intense. Oak toast is a bit much for me - and seems a bit awkward, but seemed better integrated on the second day.

Drunk over two days. First day it seemed out of whack, but was rich and intense, but seemed like it was in an awkward stage where the oak was too prominent and made it seem unbalanced. On the second day, it was rounder and better integrated overall. I've heard Crowley's white will age fairly well (some reputedly can go more than 10 years). Unsure if this is in an awkward stage and will come together long term, or if it's just not completely my style.
