December 31, 2023 - Clean deep gold colour. Matured off-dry chenin offering a perfect pairing with a mi-cuit foie gras.
Honey, clove, pineapple aromas. Lingering in mouth but good acidity cleansing the palate in aftertaste.

January 6, 2019 - In contrast to last bottle, this one, while drinkable, was clearly past the best-consumed-by date.

November 28, 2018 - Nice, rich, balanced. Probably about peak. Got a slight bit of that tart cotton candy chenin thing, but not too much, but enough to be interesting. Wish I had more.

April 15, 2017 - Lovely Chenin Blanc, and I'd say it's about at peak now. Beautifully balanced, with tropical fruits, body and acidity, long finish, wonderful mouthfeel. Very nice with an informal, pick up dinner with friends - a table full of small plates, cheeses, charcuterie. Terrific.

    May 31, 2015 - Deep gold.
Delicious, delicate honeyed nose with mineral nose.
Fruity honeyed sweetness, refreshing acidity, altogether a delicious demi-sec wine with a long finish.

(Domaine de Bellivière Vieilles Vignes Éparses, Coteaux du Loir) Domaine de Bellivière, currently being converted to biodynamic viticulture, is a small estate with a large reputation. Working only 32 acres of vines in Jasnières and Coteaux du Loir, it produces some of the most expressive Chenins in the entire region. The Vieilles Vignes Éparses is racy, rich, and aromatic; Chenin Blanc’s characteristic floral attack is followed by a subtly earthy, mineral note that adds depth to the wine. Balanced acidity and a rich, velvety texture carry through on the long finish. Little-Known Wines of the Loire

(BELLIVIERE Eparses VV) Grab Bag Dear Friends, I normally save something like this for a Friday afternoon but I've been in tastings all day and this list of confirmations just came through (it's nearly 4:00am here). After today's exercise, I can say with humility that the excitement of a new vintage still gets my blood pumping. The lifelong process of understanding the truth in wine leads us through a vinous treasure hunt that never ceases to amaze me... Which brings me back to today's offer You can throw darts at the list below - all are more than worth owning and the prices are about as enticing as I've seen. I don't have access to scores or pricing data so you will have to do some research on our own but, I do know, the prices are very low...
