January 5, 2023 - Clear, brown with significant rim browning. Plum, dried thyme, dried lemon peel. No acids, no tannins. Cherry. Short balanced finish. Over the hill. Do t hold this long.

June 19, 2022 - This is a relatively successful wine given the poor 2014 vintage conditions. It is smooth, balanced and integrated, even as the wine struggles to show any complexity or personality. Unsurprisingly, the strong acid backbone of the Sangiovese makes it a good food wine. Weak QPR in good years, it is truly too expensive for the weak 2014 vintage.

May 11, 2021 - Oaky subtle cherries with some light herbs and earthy tones on the nose. Palate shows similarity to the nose and gives you the expression of an elegant and rather light brunello.

February 12, 2021 - Decanted for 2 hours. This Brunello was matched with venison and mushrooms and this combination just worked. Harmonious, balanced with an expansive palate of black fruit, earth, leather and supple tannins underpinned by a deep acidity led to a long brooding finish. Full body and rich, noble texture.

    Great!

October 10, 2020 - I too, agree with Ben Christiansen. . I add it was more like a supercharged Chianti. There is a beauty in its simplicity.
