August 21, 2022 - As Bize does, this needed a lot of air to wake up. Even at 17. It is iron and lean on open. Very Savigny. Definitely Burgundy. After an hour it starts to show sweet cherry fruit and more forest floor/earthiness. There's a very delicate touch here. It is a very good Burgundy that you savor over a meal. No fireworks, no dieties, just a well-made pinot noir that still has some years to go.

May 7, 2020 - Blinded. First pour the nose showed a lot of vanilla/oak. I wondered if this might've been American oak, therefore calling rijoa (wrong). Coming back to this later, it showed much more cherry and red fruit with some stemminess still present. I quite enjoyed this as a sipping burg.

March 10, 2019 - At first when just opened, it was thinnish, astringent and green tasting. I poured some in a large glass and left it for about 30 minutes. The Burgundian miracle happened where it fleshed out. The wine in the bottle has come around also. Cherry, some fresh herbs, leather, basalmic and tobacco. The cherry was very present. In the mouth, full mouth feel, damson plum, a touch of anise and leather, savory fruit and anise on the finish but red fruit through out. Very good now and years to go.

March 5, 2018 - Nose holds your attention with great fruit and a little spice. Sensed it was full fruited and round in its evolution. On the palate there was fine balance with a touch of acid on entry and only a hint of tannins on the finish. The fruit in the middle was even and very smooth. This wine took a few small turns in nose and palate as it was consumed that were quite enjoyable.

February 25, 2017 - Just a delight with about 30 mins of air. Delicate, refined, elegant with just a touch of spicy ness. Great depth and length as well.
