April 26, 2024 - Pretty nice wine. Took some air to come alive. Big mushroom, gravel notes. Nice balance as well. Really very little fruit. Very nice wine but know your audience. Finish is pretty clipped, subtle nose. All in all nice wine for the price.

March 1, 2024 - Wines Tasted at the La Paulée Verticals Session (The Maybourne, Beverly Hills): Light ruby. Green tones. Light sweet red fruit. Elegant and bright.

February 28, 2024 - Wow - this is on fire now. Rich, moreish, beguiling, sappy and with tantalising balance. Really what burgundy does better than anyone else - but is yet so elusive. Shame only got one bottle left in the case.

January 16, 2024 - Pale ruby color, showing minor browning.
Earth driven, showing mushrooms, cedar, wet earth, sassafras, pine and light red/black cherry, redcurrant and cherry blossom. Light bodied, elegant. Medium plus acid, medium minus grainy but soft tannins.
Perfect at it's age, savory, tense, full of finesse. Very tasty and affordable Burg.

September 24, 2023 - Classical style, lovely fruit (strawberry, raspberry), quite structured for a 2017 but does not lack elegance, limestone freshness, finely grained tannins, good length. Solid performance.
