April 12, 2019 - Day 2 for bottle. Marked improvement over day 1 - demonstrates the need for a few years in bottle, IMO. Dark crimson. Earth, sour cherry and raspberry a touch of tea on the nose. Confirmed those elements when tasted, with a bit of strawberry in the mix. The oak and the structure receded so the fruit came through more. Overall, very nice indeed.

March 1, 2019 - Big, deep, rich. Stunning fruit. Dark, saturated, black-fruited. Soil / earthy. Prominent oak that needs time to become integrated: this will be better in a few years as the oak recedes.
