January 26, 2007 - Dark red/purple. Huge and sweet ribena nose. In the mouth it's fat, fruity and seducing with low acid. Few and sweet tannins, probably from the oak. Very enjoyable - a "crowd pleaser". Was served blind and the guesses included: Californian cabernet, Old vine grenache from the south of France or Spain, cabernet or merlot from the south of Italy. Guess that the common denominator here is a certain international style - fat fruity fun.
