December 10, 2022 - Excellent wine especially for village level. Affordable price point and ready for consumption

June 11, 2021 - Opened this a week ago. Initially pretty tannic. Stuck a cork in it. Yesterday, a week later, much improved and today even better. Pleasant red fruit nose, finally resolving tannins, some delineation and persistence.

Clearly hold or give it a lot of time. Not sure how a decant would work on the nose but probably worth a try for a few hours.

March 11, 2021 - While I agree with the pros that this is almost pommard like in its tannic structure, it’s not tight anymore, like they describe. Red fruited, limestone-influenced: this fruit is very Volnay. Covers the palate without any hint of sweetness or jamminess. No overt oak, good acid. Just a really really good village burg, and one that hides its 2017 warmth adeptly. Ready to go now.

August 2, 2020 - Light ruby color typical of Volnay. Beautiful bouquet of new oak and ripe raspberries with a nice purity and a lactic quality to it. Palate is smooth with fine tannins and correct acidity, with a medium finish with essence of sour cherry. This is a very pretty Volnay with a pure sweetness to the fruit and oak.

March 12, 2020 - Frais et floral au nez, finale ferme. Style plus austère mais quand même une belle fraîcheur. 88
