Some initial notes of currents and blackberries, followed by a predominantly vegtal note. I sense a wonderful wine in there somewhere, but i think it left the bottle a couple of years ago. It was very good out of the bottle and went down quickly, single dimensional, light, green, fading, smelling better than it tasted.   March 28, 1986 - Dark ruby with a brown edge. Complex bouquet with fruit and a lot of good oak. In the complex taste cassis, liquorice, iron, good tannin; soft as well as some sticky, and good acidity. Very long and creamy aftertaste. Great wine which is in a perfect drinking stage now, but it will probably stay on the same level for some years.
