June 17, 2021 - Seems to be drinking perfectly right now. Deep — in color and flavor — but balanced and complex. Really a pleasure to drink.

September 30, 2020 - Not giving a formal rating since this bottle was a little off: the wine showed some gas evidence, had a somewhat muted nose and palate, and ended with a distinct bitterness. Some plum and dark cherry fruit was lurking underneath, but overall the bottle was not in great condition.

July 22, 2020 - Sadly used for nocillato (or maybe not sadly?), but I saved a taste for myself. Always love this wine - fresh volcanic rose bouquet, good tannins, fresh acidity. I still need to visit the winery!

May 28, 2020 - Aerated in decanter 90 minutes. I've loved this wine for more than a decade now, and still treasure my lengthy visit a few years ago. Natural winegrowing, with rustic features of the land adding a clean, almost forest driven freshness. The lighter side of medium body just now, and red-fruited with a touch of herbs. I prefer these around age five, or so, as complexity typically develops. Understated, pure. recommended+
