October 15, 2023 - Opened and drank over three hours with Hawaiian pulled pork tacos, fries, sunny-side-up eggs, Nunya sauce, and fixings. Dark violet color. The nose its still shy but brings potpourri, red lavender, grape hard candy, and some cloves. The palate is medium, square, and tight, bringing a core of juicy raspberries, pomegranate, and Bing cherries mixed with tangy blackberries and sweet blueberries into an extended, tannic finish of black tea and sour rhubarb. This is an exceptional wine likely coming into a peak window, so drink 2024-2030. Technical score: 93. Enjoyment score: 91.
