Community Tasting Notes 3

  • Jeanda Does not like this wine: 90 points

This walled monopole vineyard is located next to the Volnay town hall. 40 to 60-year-old vines. Indigenous yeast fermentation. Aged in French barrique (30% new) for 15 months. Unfined and unfiltered.
    __________

    Color: Med-dark ruby.

Nose: Classic burgundian nose of earth, spice, and and dried cherry. More earthy in style than fruit driven. But clean and pure.

Pal: Med-full body, good concentration. Slight spritz on the finish at first (unfiltered). Medium acidity. Significant but ripe tannins. Definite tartness in this young wine. 13% alc. But overall, loveley balance.

    90-91 pts.
This dinks well now (early 2022).
Should develop nicely through 2028 (in a cool proper cellar).
