August 21, 2023 - Second wine of the evening, brought to the dinner table by The Cyclist. Drank wise by side with the Detert. Raspberries , cherries and plums. This was a bit richer, with more texture. Personally, I would have guessed it might have a dollop of merlot, but this is a straight cab franc. Bright red and black fruits, wild flowers. Nicely balanced, rich and easy to drink. Finely grained tannins. For me WOTN of the three.

Don’t let the vintage deter you. This is seriously good juice. If I could find this at a slight discount I would buy another bottle

August 20, 2023 - Drank side by side with a 2018 Detert at a delicious home cooked dinner with Franken Berry. This had a dark, brooding, black fruited core with magnificent texture to it. A lot of toasty cedar, cigar box, and granite notes in this as well. Really just so many delicious notes packed into this bottle that flow so well together. Another reason to not turn your back on a vintage without exploring a bit. I really have been enjoying a lot of 2017s recently.

December 3, 2022 - A near perfect Napa Cab Franc.
Dark colored red in the glass, smells like red fruit earth and red peppers

Tastes like raspberry, cherry, peppers and earth. Delicious!

Those complaining it’s too herbal, I don’t get it. Yeah it’s got hints of herbaceous, but isn’t that what makes a great cab franc? It does for me anyway.

May 8, 2021 - Not our favorite. Had a musty nose-almost Pinot noir like

March 19, 2020 - Definitely some scorch on the nose, unfortunately on PnP that is overshadowing my hope of a delightful floral bouquet; the fruit and floral notes (dark fruit and rose petal) do hit the beginning of the palate - day 2 didn't add much. Usually i am wowed by the CF, but this left me quite disappointed, would not buy this wine again at this price point. Maybe its early, but this was a miss for me.
