February 16, 2024 - Ski trip - Four wino familes; 2/16/2024-2/19/2024 (Wisp Resort): This reminds me the 13 version a bit. Medium expressive nose displaying subtle primary black fruit, blackberry, black cherry, ink, licorice, a hint of oak, black pepper and mineral. Good concentration, slightly subdued black fruit, slightly lean, good acidity, strong earthy mineral, and a medium long subdued black fruit driven finish.

November 5, 2023 - Wildly perfumed nose of violet, black cherry, garrigue, and spice. A bit of black olive. Engagingly complex nose - fun! The palate separates from the nose, becomes a bit more sedate, at least on initial attack. Dark core of black fruit with a streak of ripe plum. The black olive hinted at on the nose comes through along with a lovely earthen depth to it. Easily recognizable as northern Rhone syrah. Lingering peppery finish. This is really quite good - coming into its own sooner than I thought it would, though still fairly primary.

February 17, 2023 - Ski trip - Four wino familes; 2/17/2023-2/20/2023 (WISP Resort): Opaque, almost black color. Very primary nose displaying slightly coiled black fruit, black cherry, blackberry concentrated, ink, licorice, leather, noticeable oak, black pepper and earth. Excellent concentration, coiled concentrated black fruit, deeply toned, bright acidity, strong earthy mineral and a medium to long concentrated black fruit driven finish. It seems a bit coiled. Very masculine and modern expression. Needs time.

February 10, 2023 - I’m still waiting for this to bulk up a little because it’s the only thing it lacks. Subtle nose of spicy deep red fruit and earth with a bit of gaminess, lovely mouth feel with flavors of black plum and overripe red fruit that are highly expressive. Tannic on the early finish with small, tight tannins giving way to burst of acidity with a lengthy, lingering finish. Only a five-year-old, so will likely want to wait another 3 years before revisiting. I continue to expect this wine to develop and become something special. Hope so.

September 30, 2021 - With real potential - the wine has excellent flavor and lift but feels as if it will be exceptional once it puts on some weight. Balanced and enjoyable now, it should really perform well over the next ten years.

April 16, 2021 - Bien, pas au niveau du 2015 mais tout
même délicieux. Le prix à proche 68$
    ç`est limite!
Viande, poivre et mures encore une fois.
Moins long et complexe que le 2015.

February 24, 2021 - Deep purple in appearance. Almost opaque.

Youthful and pronounced nose with aromas of black fruit, vanilla, spice (pepper) and even some savory elements. However the aroma can be described, "Syrah" is the best descriptor and no one would mistake this for anything else in a blind tasting.

Full bodied with plenty of acidity and structure. This wine obviously needs some time to unfurl and I'm sure will gain some finesse and complexity over the next decade. The finish at this point is medium plus.

Drinking fine now, but this really should be forgotten in the cellar for at least five years.
